The IPod touch has an inbuilt mechanism called accelerometer. The device is small and it has the ability to sense the direction in which the IPhone is being held and oriented in space whether it is vertically, horizontally or sideways. The accelerator then flips the contents of the image display in the direction in which the iPod is being held in his case sideways. The accelerator then aligns the screen image sideways which is the same direction the device is being held in this case.LIS302DL accelerometer is built in iPhone and iTouch and it enables the device to know when it is slanted to its side.

After watching the talk show by Pattie Maes from TED, I was totally impressed with the way she introduced the audience to a wearable device that interacts with the environment. The way Pattie delivered her message to her audience was excellent as she was not only able to covey her message but she was even able to engross the attention of the audience till the last word she spoke. Her presentation was a hit even because of the visuals and interesting videos she showed. For the upcoming designers of interactive multimedia, this device is a source of motivation to come up with unique inventions in future. (TED, 2009).
